Someone please tell me how the pre-installed software track and protect is different than CIQ.

Has anyone disassembled their software to see what it does? We already know they can issue commands to the phone to take pictures, etc. -- it's part of the service "to catch thieves".

Also, from their EULA (http://www.trackandprotect.com/l.htm):

8. Acceptance.
You accept that all settings, the Software (agent) and Server(s) can be monitored by KLOMPTEK for the purpose of expanding features in any of KLOMPTEK products or for the reasons of support.

9. Security.
KLOMPTEK has established safeguards and HTTPS web security protocols to help prevent unauthorized access to or misuse of KLOMPTEK Services Information, but cannot guarantee that your personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in a manner inconsistent with this Privacy Policy (for example, as a result of unauthorized acts by third parties that violate applicable law or the policies of the KLOMPTEK Services and its affiliated providers).

10.Privacy
Klomptek does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our service(s), conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our service policies, or protect ours or others right, property, or safety. We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server (where did I hear that before... :rolleyes:), and to administer our Web site. Your IP address may be used to gather broad demographic information. Purchases from Klomptek are processed by third parties, in whom we have full confidence. Klomptek stores contact information (but not credit card information) for all of its customers and may use this information to contact its customers about product information.
