Got problem of SSH
 

I have set the password as user in X-terminal. Then I use winscp login, connected. However, when I edit a file outside MyDocs, it said permission denied

how to solve? many thanks

Login to n900 with winscp as root.

you need to be logged as Root to be able to edit most of the files, you need to enable root login via ssh,

Pre PR1.1

1. open xterm
2. devel-su [enter] then your root password [enter]
3. nano /etc/ssh/sshd_config

then use the arrowkeys on the virtualkeyboard to navigate the file to "Authentication" section and change 'permitRootLogin' to yes

once done, ctrl+o then enter saves the file
ctrl+x closes Nano

I done this already
but when i edit the file through winscp, after edited , then save, it ask me password , then it said permission denied

you cant get root access via ssh.
use putty with mc =)

I figured it out allready, had to reboot :D doh haha
