Problems with the N900
 

(Sorry, I didn't know where I was supposed to post this)

Hey guys,

I brought an n900 quite some time ago (9 months) and since the day I have got it I have been unable to use it. When I purchased it (Refurbished) I turned the phone on, and there it was asking for a Security code (Contacted the seller. No reply) I took it to a phone shop but they told me since it has no IMEI code on the back they didn't know what to do. I thought it was okay to use my friend's N900. I read off the internet how to hard flash and to download the files needed my friend gave me his IMEI number, I assumed it was ok since he gave me permission but when I try flashing the firmware I get the message on cmd 'Suitable device not found, waiting' or something along that line. This is the point where I'm stuck and I'm confused any help at all will be great!

this problem somes in windows 7 or you can face this in xp 64bit also if you are trying to flash your emmc you may get "'Suitable device not found," but using linux will surly go through all the steps i think

in other words use linux!

Is there anyway at all I can get my windows 7 OR My windows Xp to decent the n900.

I tried flashing it of Xp, haven't tried with the Win7 yet.
