Source code for "maemo-applet-profiles"?
 

I would like to ask Licensing change for package "maemo-applet-profiles".

I know the formal way is: https://bugs.maemo.org/enter_bug.cgi...nge%20Requests

But it is answering: "Sorry, entering a bug into the product Licensing Change Requests has been disabled."

I'm not satisfied for "maemo-applet-profiles", and I'm too lazy to write my own from scratch. Why it is even closed source? Have somebody written open alternative?

I have two profiles (general+silent). Profile have vibrate ON or OFF. This means there are four different options:
general+vibrate
general-vibrate
silent+vibrate
silent-vibrate
(consider '-' as 'minus').
If each has own entry, it would be total of four buttons, and ONE CLICK to select (and even better then 'OK' button can be skipped).

Now there are (same) four button, and worst case needs three clicks (including OK).

This would be so trivial to change, but (too) pain to write from the scratch.

AFAIK, Nicolai Have written proper enhancement for profiles, allowing more than 2 (*no8* doing tricks like replacing existing ones on fly, just increased number of available ones). I can't find thread now, so it's best to ask author.

ProfilesX [http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=50266] is powerful tool. It contains open source widget for
status-bar and entry on control-panel.

What I described on opening post was actually that status-bar thing, which comes from package: status-menu-applet-profiles, and that one is rewritten also: https://gitorious.org/community-ssu/...pplet-profiles
