Skip Music using Vol +/-
 

i have used a couple of sonyericsson phones in the past such as K850i and C902 and they both have the option of skipping track by pressing volume +/- button to skip music. i find it very useful when you listening to music and you phone is in your pocket and you just press the volume button for about 2 or 3 sec's and it skip music. won't it be cool if N9 had that opinion also. does anyone have a hack or mod to get this option on the N9 :D.

This would be a neat addition to CSSU. The feature should be customized to your liking in the System (CSSU) Settings. But might I also suggest: Seeking.

*Hold the Volume +/- to change volume (default)
*Double press the Volume +/- to skip/change track
*When in lockscreen mode, press Camera halfway to pause music, press again to unpause.
*While holding the Camera button (all the way down) then press/hold Volume +/- to seek the audio (fast forward/rewind) by 3 seconds.
(The last two may or may not conflict with 'Camkeyd' - the plugin that allows the camera button to be used to access the dashboard.. or that other one that brings up the Camera app when you press the button..)

These should all be under a new section called Music options in the CSSU settings. The number of seconds you want to seek should also be customizable.

Is there any camera button in N9? Or you mean lockscreen key?

The lockscreen key does not have a "half-way". It can be only pushed or not pushed.

i dont have a camera button either on my n9 :D

actually it has few states, like push, double push and long push.
