Install Recaller on N900 maemo 5
 

hello
my version:21.2011.38-1.003

i want to install recaller application but i got this:
i need to install this first:
gstreamer0.10-plugin-good-extra

after some search i find these:
http://maemo.org/packages/view/gstre...ns-good-extra/
i fist download that file via my PC then copy to my device via USB then try to execute with file manager
i try all of that not compatible with my device!
how can i find suitable gstreamer...?

You can install the package with x-terminal by running "dpkg -i <package name>" as root.

thanks for replay would you please give me more instruction im pretty newbe
i found x terminal
but which of those package is suitable for me?
were i should copy that package on my device?
and

is the package name include the extension also?

i try that command but got this:
dpkg:requested operation requires superuser privilege

how can fix that?

It means you have not ran it as root.

1. What happens if you type "root" and then press enter? Does it change your command prompt from "$" to "#"?

2. If so, proceed with the dpkg command.

3. If not, open the application manager, and install rootsh. Go back to 1.
