Download from maemo.org and install packages with x-terminal dpkg-i.

Another way easier to install VPN (OpenVPN) and create an account to download applications from Ovi or repositories, is the best solution.:eek:

Thanks for letting me know there are still *some* countries worse than the one I'm living in now :D

For your question, if revolution or moving outside is out of question, then you should seriously consider using a VPN solution (Google > VPN) and install OpenVPN to your N900 to use it with your device. I've used Anonine.se for a while, they were pretty good.

edit: btw, which country is it? Not particularly related to your problem, but I may add it to my personal "I-would-prefer-Hell" vacation list.

There is a much easier solution (easier than making a revolution :D)
