Why is the lumia 800's video camera better than the N9's?
 

They both say 8mp camera's but the Lumia's video camera takes better videos that are less grainy? They seem to be in better focus, is there a reason for that? Is this software related or hardware related?

Well they are both 8 mp, but do they have the same internal components?? Like is the sensor the same as the N9... etc? I think the Lumia has a newer version of the Carl Zeiss 8 mp camera

i think both. lumia hardware better and WP7 software more optimized.

i don't think it's software as AFAIK that the Lumia 800 had terrible camera app (stock Microsoft app) that's not optimised for Nokia (carl zeiss) cameras.. because Wp7 never had such great components associated with it before..

N9 was the trial run for Lumia800. They learned from N9 failures to optimize the windoze device.

The only things that Nokia did better was the video camera which is a slight difference and MfE integration, everything else is below or on par with the N9.
