http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7066/6...7e57074c0f.jpg Price: 1e Downloads: Nokia Store Features: - Share public key (email, sms, facebook, nfc..) - Generate ssh keys (private and public) - Connect to ssh server and do remote and local port forwards - "Profiles" for different servers and port forwards - use console commands (ssh/scp) with existing terminal application Upcoming features includes: - graphical interface for scp client (includes the console command at the moment) - graphical interface for ssh client with terminal (includes the console command at the moment) |
Re: [announce] QAD SSH
Forgot to add originally that this package includes ssh and scp clients as console commands and the application is "only" a graphical interface for those, so if you have an existing terminal application you can use those ssh and scp terminal apps as you wish. Those are found from /opt/qadssh/bin.

Re: [announce] QAD SSH
is your app opensource ? which licence ?
if floss, let me suggest to also ship along some of my packages : autossh and connect-proxy -- http://rzr.online.fr/q/ssh |
Re: [announce] QAD SSH
it will be nice to make phone work thru remote ssh server socks. it will be useful when connecting to pc in sdkk mode or in local wifi network.

You could drop me an email about those apps to juhapekka@jpii.fi (or drop a private message) and we could chat more about it :) ..but yeah, the suggested things sounds really reasonable to combine into this and for that more technical chat would be useful. The application uses the openssh package from the platform sdk (http://harmattan-dev.nokia.com/pool/...p1.orig.tar.gz), with a different configure prefix, so it includes everything which comes with it under /opt/qadssh. It even has the sshd but I have not tried it yet. The original idea was that you would not need to enable the developer mode for getting the ssh client or server. |

Re: [announce] QAD SSH
It seems that for some reason the application works on the device when the developer mode has been enabled but not without. Maybe something to do with the aegis as it does not depend on anything there.. oh man.. i hate aegis...

Re: [announce] QAD SSH
The socks proxy was a brilliant idea. I can access now all the services which I ran at home :p
I will now do a "full" resign of the UI for the 0.0.3 release, but I will wait until the 0.0.2 gets thru to the store. For the 0.0.2 in order you to use the Socks proxy you will have to: 0) Configure proxy settings for the current network connection 0.1) Settings (from home screen) 0.1.1) Internet connection 0.1.1.1) Edit networks 0.1.1.1.1) select your current network 0.1.1.1.1.1) Advanced settings 0.1.1.1.1.1.1) set Proxy configuration to manual 0.1.1.1.1.1.2) Socks proxy value is 127.0.0.1 0.1.1.1.1.1.3) port number value is 8123 0.1.1.1.1.1.4) tap Done 0.1.1.1.1.2) tap Save 0.1.2) tap Disconnect 0.1.3) tap Connect and select the network in which you were Then operating system level settings are done for socks proxy, now you should open QAD SSH and: 1) add new tunnel 2) add some values to: - tunnel name - bind port, for example 2222 - remote address, for example 127.0.0.1 - remote port, for example 22 3) then add the ssh server details - address - port 4) add login information - username - click generate ssh keys button 5) then save 6) open the newly created tunnel 7) tap on the "Socks 4/5 proxy to local port 8123" Now you can open the web browser on N9 and surf for example to 192.168.1.1 in your home lan, if the ssh server was running there. For example I can now access my vdr instance and all other home network services using the home network address space. I can even check the IP camera at home in lan. |
