Wow, that looks really bad. I have Finnish made bought on the release date.

How do you even get that grey? I have chipped microcopic piece next the the LED and it was colored all black throught the material, like it's supposed to.

Yes my usb cover has chipped, but it's black inside too, so it's barely visible. But it is painted, not solid plastic. (the cover, the phone seems solid but hasn't chipped yet)

My USB cover is chipping, too (precisely at the place where I use my fingernail to open it).

My friend has a black China made N9 and I saw some dots on USB cover.

That looks like chemical exposure of some sort. Do your hands sweat alot? Since its around the edges of the USB and the grooves at the back where moisture can collect.

I have the same problem with my lumia 800, mainly around the back of the camera, not as badly around the ports. I've since bought a flexible rubberish case and that seems to have stopped it.

Wow. Can you get an even closer pic using macro? It looks like chips of the plastic are missing - that's what it looks like around the camera. Sorta harder to see that on the USB.

Any exposure to stuff in your pockets? Sand? Chemicals? Do you chew on stuff? Wow.

i don't understand how it is so grey around the camera chrome...it should be solid black all the way through there. The USB and SIM cover i can understand.

and,no,i don't have the same problem, but it seems the material is pretty soft and dents fairly easily.
