usb data card on n900
GM to every n900 users& the community gods.
i have one big doubt relating usb host mode,will n900 support USB DATA CARD? I have installed 1.H-E-N 2.KERNEL POWER V49. Please reply. |

I had to google to find out what a "USB data card" is. Apparently that's ambiguous.
It can be a regular USB key in credit card format or a credit card writer with USB interface or even something different. So I think that should be made clear first. As a rule of thumb: Any device that's compatible with Linux kernel 2.6.28 and doesn't consume more than 200mA should work fine via H-E-N. |

I had an usb data card, it's just a USBdrive in a strange/usefule design ;) Never tested it, but my other usb drives work so I assume this one does too...

i doubt it will work , you will need a package to switch from the mass storage mode to modem mode

bsnl mts and photon+ all three works good as a micro sd card reader, it seems there is no power issue. but not tested for networking.
i will try it tmrw. |
