[Request] N9 notification LED app.
The N9 has a breathing light which is only used when charging. I find it very unuseful and would like to see new apps that make use of it.
Can someone develop an app to make use of the LED and notify us when new calls, messages, emails, twits, or facebook nots? Remember the N900? it had a white led that cuold shine in many colors depending of the notification? That would be very helpful to have on the N9. |

Now with 'Inception' available this request has a chance of being filled:).

That led is pretty useless since it can display notifications on the amoled . :)

Re: [Request] N9 notification LED app.
well, not even my two cents, one, at best, considering that i don't have a N9 (& most likely never will get one...) but...
based on the N8, which has a (tiny) led as well next to the micro-USB port, it strikes me as not very useful if that was to blink, unless the Nx is... lying on the side with the LED staring right at you. simply not placed well for that purpose (notification)... but, hey, that's a (happy) N900's camper PoV :p |

Also..a blinking light is more visible at any angle than the amoled screen, this is useful if you are lying on your bed with your phone besides you. With some screen inclinations the screen is not very visible. But the LED is always and more visible.

on the N8, the power LED is sitting so deep in the side of the device (next to mUSB port) that short of pressing one's nose onto it, there is hardly a way to see if it is blinking... on the N900 (on a 7710 "stand" http://www.mobilmania.cz/Files/Obraz...7710/2/x15.jpg) i can see the LED across the room... simply because it is on the front side of the device, in plain view. where a notification LED should be  even (or especially?) when the screen is in power save mode / OFF |
