Is there a forum setting to be emailed when someone quotes you?
 
I thought there was, but for the life of me I can't find the damn thing!

Nope.

You will just have to rely on that tingly sensations behind your eyelids when someone is talking about you behind your back.

For Email Alerts:)

1) goto http://www.google.com/alerts

2) add your Email-id

3) in the Search query: write
Code:
"@jalyst" site:http://talk.maemo.org
or
Code:

3.5) To Get Alerts if Someone Thanked you . . . . . . . [UPDATE]
in the Search query: write

If somebody has thanked you, you can search by that also. alternatively, if you can search your own post and follow it... but that sort of defeats the purpose you proposed :D
