No, it looks like it wants to download a .jad file no matter what carrier/phone you select.

Google Local Mobile is a java application meant for the runtime used with phones so it probably won't work with the 770. Just for kicks, I went to the page and it directed me to the page I see on the desktop.

If you want something quicker than the desktop version but maybe not as useful as the java app, http://mobile.google.com/local loads just fine on the 770.
