[Announce] Clock My World (N9/N950) v1.2.2

Hey everyone,

I'd like to share my new project with you,

It's all about sunset and sunrise time. Basicaly it gives you the sunset and sunrise time at your GPS location.

There're few options: you can save your location, change the date, change the timezone.

You can also check the sunset and sunrise time of any place thank to the Nokia maps plugin.

Here is the project page: http://projects.developer.nokia.com/locateme

Here is the .deb: http://projects.developer.nokia.com/....2.2_armel.deb

Improvements to do:
-Maps plugin with zoom

I'm open to any suggestion, please give me your ideas about :)

Oh I am liking the look of this, unfortunately I keep getting the message "request error, pleale refresh".

I does not appear to be triggering the gprs

I get the same error as above and I'm getting no sunrise/sunset times when refreshing.
If i tick the save location to off the gprs triggers and sets my location, but still no dice with the sunrise/sunset time.

Regards Dousan...

Well Yesterday evening and this morning I got many problems with the webservice I'm using to get the sunset and sunrise time... You sometimes need to wait 10-20 sec before getting the answer...

You need to be connected to the internet btw :)

You can try the service here : http://www.earthtools.org/webservices.htm#sun

There're also quite many rules I'm a bit worried about...

If I find a better one, I'll switch to it, but so far I couldn't find any better :/

Sometimes the response is really fast, sometimes really slow. Please let me know when you get something :)

The internet cornection did the trick. Still get the error and have to refresh to make it work.
It loads pretty fast, close to 5 sec.

Seems to work fine. Nice work mate :)

Regards Dousan...

e: lol yeah how are you else gonna get the info unless connected :)
Didn't think of that

I got some nice javascript stuff there :
http://www.esrl.noaa.gov/gmd/grad/solcalc/
(When looking the source code)

I will see if I would make it independent of any webservice... :)

I also get a lot of error on launch... It's working so and so (the webservice), I implemented the info banner yesterday in order to see what's going on and stop to be clicking on refresh all the time... :p

I got the JS script and integrated all the stuff to have a possibility to make offline request ! And it works :)

Will try to release a version this evening :)
