Samsung becomes platinum Linux foundation member
http://www.linuxfoundation.org/news-...latinum-member
Interesting turn of events. Seems like Samsung wants to be Nokia in the place of Nokia, and they are retracing their former strategy. Engadget reports that they paid half a million dollars to the foundation, and committed to more open source friendly strategy. Let's see where this goes. In general I don't believe in the post-pc era, but the deep penetration of linux in mobile and embedded devices is promising. EDIT: Seems like off topic don't make it to the active topics. Was always like that? I remember seeing the Nokia Stock thread on the Active Topics regularly... |
Re: Samsung becomes platinum Linux foundation member
I believe the stock thread was moved to off topic awhile ago. Off topic was taken off the active topic list because doing so got rid of some flames and was found to reduce BS threads.
