[Announce] The Easiest way to Change Useragent On Stock Browser
 

After much testing with open mode and the help of itsnotabigtruck, thedead1440, and Wolke.

This will stay after a reboot!

Also for N9 only, hasn't been tested on N950 yet.

Don't do this unless you are fine with bricking your phone.

All that you need installed is inception and opensh.

I used an android grob which will be placed at the end of the post.

As well as the refhashlist.pl (credit to Wolke)

Download the android grob and drop it into your MyDocs folder as well as the refhashlist.pl

open a new terminal cd to home/user/MyDocs/

here are the commands:
ariadne sh
cd /home/user/MyDocs/
cp -r grob /usr/bin/
perl refhashlist.pl
(ignore all the can't find files) let it finish
Then you are done.

Give your browser a minute and it's good to go.

Try this at your own risk, I nor any of the people that helped get this done are responsible for anything that happens to your phone.

No, no openmode required at all, only inception :)

easier that doesn't need any exploits would just to install tinyproxy on device and change useragent on conf file ;-)

Thanks works like a charm with iOS and its incredibly faster I got 35k in Browsermark with default UA i got only 24k, only issue is YouTube wont play any video due to a 'Safari Plugin'

There seem to be a problem for me,once i do the cp thing,i cant open my browser,so i undo it,back to default browser,any help? I would love to have the iOS grob..

Edit :I was able to cp the ios grob,but the browser is still the default one,any help?
