I personally wouldn't buy into a startup that could be shut down by a few well placed patent disputes and/or lack of cooperation from Nokia or Microsoft.

Yes? Like almost all companies with stocks? You are aware that Jolla Oy literally means Jolla "Stock holding company", so there are Jolla shares but not on the market (yet), probably owned by the founders and maybe the employees are able to buy in...
