[Solved] Gallery Problem
I checked the previous thread of "Gallery won't refresh" and its solution by wook_sf, but didn't work and he even helped me on Facebook by giving me many solutions, still didn't work, instead, everything went away and won't come back to the Gallery although everything is there in its place in Filebox, I have no idea why my gallery won't refresh and get any picture in it, right now I am forced to use Filebox to search my pictures, wook_sf also packed a deb of gallerybugx and he told me to install it then go to Terminal and type
Code:
gallerybugx Code:
tracker-control -r |

Re: Gallery Problem
i assume that you have some jpg/png in /home/user/ and that might cause this problem. so, it would be clever to do reflash maybe...
backup all possible things, and then remove settings from backup. but i would love to see if gallerybugx fixed your user-dirs.dirs |
Re: Gallery Problem
wook_sf if you go through his tracker logs you'll see roboto.desktop giving him the trouble too...i think along with images being in /home/user/ this is the issue...his tracker is getting stuck due to roboto.desktop...

Re: Gallery Problem
i didn't went trough tracker logs because i went to sleep before he applied gallerybugx and before that tracker was unable to update because of user-dirs.
however, i am unsure what roboto is either :D and i hope removing of that would help him up :D |

Re: Gallery Problem
Wook_sf and the thedead 1440, here is what I tried:
wook_sf, I tried everything you told me and nothing actually worked! :( thedead1440, I did what you told me, I tried tracker-control -r as root and as user (as user first) and then I uninstalled the Roboto game which you claim to may be the reason, took a pic with the camera which was detected by the gallery (it was the only pic detected in the gallery) and then rebooted, left it for 3 whole hours, no detection of any photo, although Music and Videos are synced and refreshed successfully with no problems and I hope they stay that way, please find me a solution.. Thanks guys for your great work, keep it up :) |
Re: Gallery Problem
Guys, do I try tracker-control --hard-reset? Does it fix anything if I do that?
