Mplayer Problem
 

I've got a small problem with Mplayer. Seems right after a re flash i install Mplayer and it plays my movies fine.

But a little down the road (after installing a bunch of apps) Mplayer plays the same movies but has a annoying lag or frame skip every so often.

My cpu cycle usage doesn't seem too high. But it is hard to tell as Mplayer only plays full screen. I've tried canola and it does it worse.

I just thought of trying a ssh session running top while playing a movie.

Has any one else experienced this or have any trouble shooting tips i could try?
