4 Attachment(s)
ext2Manager : Easily use a ext2, ext3, or ext4 MyDocs formatted partition with the Nokia N9.
This app is part of the Maemo Coding Competition 2012 ! (Desktop, System & Utilities + Beginners) Don't forget that ext2Manager comes alongside a long tutorial linked a few lines below to format the MyDocs into ext2. ext2Manager is at 100% progress I wanted it to be for v1.0.0 Note : This app is only useful if you followed this manual tutorial first : [HOW TO] Format and use a ext2 MyDocs partition.. Version 1.0.0 : Download link and screenshots at the end of this post. What does exactly this app ? This app "fixes" all files and directories owner and rights (inside the MyDocs folder) to their default. i.e.: - owner : "user:root" - directory mode : "777" - file mode : "644" How can I install this app ? Simply open the deb installation file via Filebox, and it will install by himself. (Check before in Setting > Applications > Installations if you can install "non-Store" apps) Or if you prefer a command line method : Code:
devel-su How to use this app ? Simply press the "ext2Manager" icon on the homescreen, a terminal with some data should appear (see the screenshots at the end), valid the program execution, a few seconds later all files/directories owner and rights will have been fixed... You will see a success text, you can now exit the app by pressing [Enter] It is really easy and fast to use.
