adding a new language to nokia n9
 

is it possible to add a new language that is not officialy supported?


for example... if i translate english section to some other language and save it like ENGLISH and than upload that FW...

im not sure how that actually works so im asking =P

At least it was possible on the N900. I remember that somebody made a Turkish user interface when the language was not officially supported by Nokia. No new firmware, just an application you installed that would add the new language. I'm just too lazy now to search for it, but "Turkish n900" should be a good start. Maybe the person is still around and can help you on

I'm not sure how it exactly works but all language files are in l10n...Why not upload your new language into that and then choose it from system settings?

I'm waiting one Year for Slovenian language. At least for SWYPE, but nothing.
Of course, I don't know how to add new language, but will pay for that!

Very interested, how can you do that? I would like to add the Swiss French language.

Wow, that's very interesting indeed! I'd be happier with swype if I could add a Catalan dictionary on it, as android users can. Is there any tip on how to do so? Thanks!
