Just purchased a black 64 GB N9!
It should be en route soon. I paid 418.62 USD including free shipping from an Amazon.com 3rd-party seller.
Despite some unique uses at times, I have managed to adapt to various OS & eventually find a solution to my need usually in the form of an app. I was hesitant about switching first to Android itself after over 4 years & many BlackBerry devices but after I experienced the OS & given how much Google services I already use, it seemed like a no-brainer. Switching to an all touch screen & typing on it wasn't the big headache that I thought it was going to be, however I was going to a much bigger display & overall phone in the form of the Galaxy Nexus compared with all my previous phones. It will be interesting where the N9 will fit into my device portfolio & life especially as a Galaxy Nexus user who is still hoping for the release of a Galaxy Note-style Nexus device with a 1080p screen. I'm hoping the MeeGo OS provides a nice modern UX that's truly logical compared to what appeared to be a bandaged up OS with Android & the severely restricted iOS. What will be interesting is how many future OS like BlackBerry 10, Open webOS, Windows Phone 8, as well as even today's OS in future incarnations will take cues from MeeGo. I absolutely love that swipe gesture in both MeeGo & webOS. It just looks & feels fully natural to the environment given the hardware capabilities. My previous Maemo/MeeGo device was an N810 which I haven't used in quite some time (battery needs to be replaced should I want to use it in future) & my primary phone over the 2 years has been BlackBerry 9700 (sold) to 9780 (sold) to 9900 to Motorola Flipout (switched to Android here) to Charm to Samsung Galaxy Nexus (tied with my BB 9900 as my best mobile device ever owned) as of this June. Additional devices I own of note include the old N95-3 (Symbian S60), HP Veer 4G (webOS!), Lumia 710 T-Mobile USA, Palm Centro, LG GD910 (yes, really!), Psion Series 3a (very old monochrome LCD palmtop PDA from 1993 UK), as well as the Samsung Epix (Windows Mobile 6.5.3) & Galaxy Player 5.0 USA. I can't wait till my N9 arrives. |

Congratulations dude!
enjoy your N9!! I recently got the white 64GB version to keep company to my Black 16gb. I am too afraid to use it. I am keeping it boxed, aging just like a good wine... |
