Maemo repos are broken?!
I just wanted to install something from testing, but apt-get and hildon package manager are both reporting:
W: Failed to fetch http://repository.maemo.org/extras/d...l/Packages.bz2 Sub-process bzip2 returned an error code (1) for all repositories form maemo.org (extras, extras-testing and devel) I still can download the packagefile to my computer, so obviously there is nothing wrong with the server.. What do I need to do? btw: the search and threading display sucks big-time. Is there a way to download the forums database and search offline? |
Re: Maemo repos are broken?!
Unfortunately bzip2 error code is not very helpful:
Quote:
What if you download the .bz2 file manually on the device (e.g. using curl), or use a browser to access the repository (just to check if network settings is ok). |
Re: Maemo repos are broken?!
Are you using cssu ?
I had same error on old busybox-power.version. |
Re: Maemo repos are broken?!
I am using
BusyBox v1.10.2 (Debian 3:1.10.2.legal-1osso31+0cssu0) if I call bzip2 fromm commandline (regardless of user or root) I got: bzip2: applet not found How can I update busybox without repository available? Thanks for your Help! |
Re: Maemo repos are broken?!
I also encountered this problem: simply download the .deb of busybox-power on your N900, and install it with
dpkg -i busybox-power-blabla.deb Then it was ok for me. |
Re: Maemo repos are broken?!
I solved that by installing bzip2
|
Re: Maemo repos are broken?!
