SMS database on N9 and how to recover deleted sms?
 
Hi,

my girfriend accidentily deleted all her sms on her N9. So far I could only find info where the SMS are storred on the N900 but what about the N9? And is it possible to restore messages from the DB?

Thanks for any tipps!

As far as I know it is fairly difficult (read; not possible) to restore the messages unless you have made backups.

juiceme, any idea where the message .db is located in? I just wanted it generally but haven't been able to find it...Email is in ~/.qmf but messages .db i couldn't find...

As far as I know only file I have been able to identify as having something to do with SMS messages is "/home/user/.sync/sync-app/hsms.db"

It seems to me however that this is not the actual messaging database but rather an index of some sort to the messages.

I suspect that the SMS database is somehow linked to contacts database, it might be that messages are interleaved in the data with the senders.
