I have had similar comments too with mine, kinda makes me wonder "what if these really did have a wide spread release..." :)

Everyone I show my phone to ends up wanting to buy the same kind (N9-00).. Not just because of how the phone looks like on the outside.. but they love the swipe features and what I can do with the phone..

same here but when i tell them how much it cost...they usually back down. people in the usa get their phones on subsidy and rarely will buy a phone outright

could you i good conscience recommend a N9 to a casual smartphone user having to assume that within a few weeks they might be left with crumbs from OVI store?
well, i could, as a matter of fact.
only issue being now that even the simplest (black) 16GB model now costs more then the 64GB ones at their lowest days... :mad:
64GB are only available now from... selected sources :(

the wider availability wouldn't even have been needed.
what killed NOKIA was burning hara-kiri
without that, Symbian would eventually have mutated into Harmattan or how ever the fusion would have taken place...:confused:
