Openning PDFs from File Manager
l tried to open some PDF files using the File manager, but everytime i try the PDF viewer opens and closes then Evince opens but no file is loaded. I would uninstall Evince but i need it to read some files.
I would like to use PDF viewer as default app but i want to keep Evince for some files. how can i do that? |
Re: Openning PDFs from File Manager
Yeah, something is currently amiss with Evince... Opening Evince first and then using File > Open to browse for your file does work, though.

Re: Openning PDFs from File Manager
i had the same problem; if you search you can find some threads on the issue...the answer turns out to be uninstall and then reinstall older version. Then you can upgrade to current version if you want. That fixed that same problem for me, but there is other other ways that seem to also work discusses in those threads, some involve hacks you may not be confortable with...

@jandmdickerson: n800 or n770? I had no joy with my n800 after downgrading. Might be you succeeded by using the 0.5.something version for the 770?
