They're talking about MeeGo with the Mer core. On the N9, you'll find MeeGo with the Maemo Harmattan core ;)

1/ TeamViewer is a closed source software, so we can't port it
2/ It s written to use windows library for x86 and amd64 architecture.
Under linux, the packaged version use wine to simulate the windows library used.
3/ You're n9 have a ARMel CPU, so unless they compile an armel version of the software, and a wine version for armel exists it ll not work on your n9.

4/ MeeGo can run on different arch and different device, the link you post refer to using teamviewer with wine on an tablet or laptop using a x86 cpu.
