This should be done by Jolla for iphone, Windows and android as a comerial stunt. Great app. Tried it before. Great with milliseconds. Love countdowns.

As it is not a rpm package, with an embedded GPG-signature, what is the GPG-signed checksum of that deb-package so we won't be MITM-attack vulnerable?

I think what zimon meant was that the file is hosted on someone's dropbox, therefore (s)he may change the file that this link points to at any time and we wouldn't know that. And zimon kindly asked for some digital signature of this file (GPG, but i think simple md5 checksum can be enough;) ) so we can compare it after downloading and confirm this is in fact this countdown timer and not some other software.

Well as for Dropbox thats my gurantee as it is my Dropbox :cool:

i really dont know what this signature thing is :confused:

wasn't this app publicised before in the Jolla thread?

Its available from appsformeego and IIRC stefK is the developer; same person as who is doing the public transport app currently as well as having launched the widgets app...
