Uninstalled icons still in launcher, also unable to remove Prboom

Am really sorry if these problems are discussed before :
PLZ HELP FREINDS . ... i have two problems facing right now 1 . the icons of Uninstalled applications are showing and when i click on it ... its do nothing as u can see from (LIVE F1 ,star dict , mstar dict....to.... facebrick) .....Attachment 29655 and when i search it in my applications installed folder it doesn't show ... u can see example of LiVE F1 .... Attachment 29656 *** I have searched live f1 ,facebrick , ...... in Application Manager > uninstall 2. the two icons in the 1st pic Prdoom & Freedom ... dont knw how it get installed but when i try to uninstall it ...... it says unable to uninstall relating each other now hw can i uninstall both ??? WHILE UNINSTALLING PRBOOM !!Attachment 29657 Attachment 29658 While UNINSTALLING FREEDOM IT SHOWS !! Attachment 29659 |

possible alternate title (so that searching only in title of thread returns meaningful result... not that it really matters, whole site is gone in less then two months, but, hell ¦-)))))))

if you mean that the apps got uninstalled and only icons still appears , then it's easy to remove the icons if thats what you need ..
to remove any con from the menu , you need "filebox" , open filebox and go to this dir: /usr/share/applications/hildon or you can copy the path and paste it in filebox .. you will see many items ends with ( .desktop ) you can search for the apps that you want to remove then just delete their files and the icons will soon disappear from the menu .. you have to notice that the name of the file sometimes will be little different from the name that appear on the menu . |
