ncdu packaged for Maemo
1 Attachment(s)
ncdu is a nice little tool to see where the free space on your device disappears. Images are supposed to speak a thousand words, so here's how it looks:

Re: ncdu packaged for Maemo
it was also into harmattan shared repo...

Re: ncdu packaged for Maemo
it's really great ... but is it only for optfs ?? or can also show rootfs usage ?
|
Re: ncdu packaged for Maemo
You can use it for anything you wish. Like so:
Code:
ncdu /home/user/MyDocs # inspect MyDocs |

Re: ncdu packaged for Maemo
Simple, yet very clever idea. For many things, more conveinent to use, than "Storage Usage" application. Thanks a lot!
|
Re: ncdu packaged for Maemo
Yes, we also have package 'storageusage', which has a graphical UI (for people not familiar or disliking terminal).
But thanks for that addition to us x-termers! Any plans to put to repos? |
Re: ncdu packaged for Maemo
as Peterleinchen already pointed out, storageusage provides a lot of storage information right from the desktop.
apart from an initial screen with all mounted partitions (i myself have three on my µSD :D) with available space you can click down into any directory down to file level furthermore it also can display space usage by application with indication of what space is in rootfs and what is optified... but as peterleinchen said, great to have a cli tool showing that kind of information (in a more user friendly manner then du -sm ¦-) |
