First of all this is not my application. I only created a different (buggy) ui and add portrait support. Fingerterm site
Main bugs:
- strange scroll behavior
- smooth animation only in fullscreen
- lack of sticky hw keys
- another ui issues

Im testing it,

is there any way to customize the bar shortcuts? I like the idea of containers of shortcuts that can be hidden (would be nice have one for symbols, other for keyboard combinations).

Can buttons be added, customized?

When I hold the mode button, the program dissapears from screen, but its on the process list, and I can not access it anymore.

EDIT: virtual keyboard for special symbols doesn't appear on fingerterm.

You can add your buttons to hidden bar. Check fingerterm documentation ~/.config/FingerTerm/menu.xml
It's hidden. Slide your finger from right bottom screen to left (edit wayv configuration file if you use it). Remeber to hide fingerterm every time when you switch between fullscreen/normal app. Some times window is black in small mode but I don't know why.

Sorry to resurrect this, but I believe I heard Jolla is going to have fingerterm as default xterm. Is the +/- of fonts the only control over geometry? (or maybe small mode could be used to force a certain number of columns/rows?)

elros34: could you share your code? just noticed the official fingerterm 1.0.2 doesn't have this feature

Thanks, might be a cool feature to have it floating around semitransparent,was thinking of using it if as some claimed the icons in multitasking view were limited in Sailfish, but turns out they do refresh themselves, even in 3x3 grid, still would be nice to float over browser
