running ettercap
 

I am trying to get ettercap and driftnet up and running on my n900 but I am missing something. somewhere.
Firstly. I am a noob in debian and need exact methods to compile whatever needs compiling.
I have maemo 5 with busybox v.1.20.1 (debian 1.20 2power5) 10-power51. bleeding edge drivers installed and rootsh.
When I run driftnet (on monitor mode) with sudo gainroot I get permission denied. when I run ettercap-G the GUI shows up but when i press any button it flashes on command and does nothing else.
