Firefox OS

the picture in the article really reminds me of the lock screen on the N9 |
Re: Firefox OS
And until today... its not much more than a lock screen, some webapps .. and some android ****
"Boot to Gecko (Firefox OS) uses a kernel derived from Android [...]" "The first time you flash your phone, it must have Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) installed. The process will not work correctly otherwise. Once you've done your first install of B2G, however, you can simply update on top of it." (Source: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/..._mobile_device) |
Re: Firefox OS
Gotta give Mozilla their dues... When you consider all of the other would-be competitors out there with their whacky funding projects and marketting efforts, the Mozilla foundation have managed to get their OS developed, put it on a device by a reputable manufacturer and sell it at a very pleasing price that suits everyone without any fanfared blow-hard promises. And well before all others too.
Bravo! I should really try this on the Raspberry Pi and give the updated b2g image a blast. |
