Two questions;

First, it is possible to open multiple terminal windows in n900?

and, Is there any way that I could add folders to my desktop?

I have googled it up and found nothing and thought I'd ask the experts.

Re: 2 questions

Two answers, yes and yes.
-But the second yes requires some 3rd party addons.

1) Yes, in terminal press the top menu select "New" or Ctrl/Shift and X

2) No, but you could add a .desktop file to wherever if you know what you want to do.

1) Yes & u've got your answer.
2) Yes. But in a not so friendly way & you'd need to do some own mini development.
http://wiki.maemo.org/Phone_control
Item 1.16 shows a dbus command that you can run using the shell/xterm & it lets you open a folder.
According to another post, it needs to be a folder you can already access using the default file manager. (ie: you can't open /opt folder).
Then, install Queen Beecon Widget and create a custom widget having above command.
You'd have to play around with things.
It's also possible to create your own *.desktop file on the desktop (instead of using Queen Beecon) & make it run the dbus command, but I don't have the details.
