problems with meamo extras repository
 

Hi, I have recently had a software error on my Nokia N900, the problem was resolved with a complete reinstall, but I am now having problems with the Maemo extras repository. Basically there are very few apps that I can download, for example rootsh and ssh. I have tried going to the downloads page on maemo.org and downloading from there, but when I try to install rootsh I get Unable to download 'rootsh'. Application package not found error message.

The catalogue details on my N900 are as follows :

catalogue name : maemo.org
web address : http://repository.maemo.org/extras/
distribution : freementle-1.components free non-free
disabled : unchecked

In a box underneath the catalogue details, I also get the following error message in red :

http://repository.maemo.org/extras/d...armel/Packages 504 Gateway Time-out

Is this due to the repositories temporarily not working?

use mirror 3 i.e. Skeiron.org

By the way is there any date that repositories will be back online?

That's because you have a typo in your mirrors links. The distribution name for Maemo 5 is "fremantle", not "freementle" ;-)

Otherwise both mirrors seems to be working fine.

Hey Jamar, thanks for getting back to me, I apologise for typo, have got fremantle not freementle, still nothing. Will try mirror 3.
