porting glade3 gui to N800
Hello all,
I'm an absolute beginner in programming Python (I'm used to VBA/VB6). I finally made it programming a small piece of SW with a GUI created with Glade3 (GTK+ 2.24). Now I want to port it to the N800 device. I found some information on this but honestly that's too much for my brain  Did anyone do such a portation in the past and can explain which steps I have to take for this? (E.g. on the N800 there is GTK+ 2.0 running and I do not know how to update it to 2.24 - if needed). Many thanks in advance, Timo |
Re: porting glade3 gui to N800
it will be difficult to update the GTK version from N800.
I don't have my N800 at hand to check but according to this http://repository.maemo.org/pool/dia...ibg/libglade2/ libglade is available in diablo, I can't seem to find any package for python-glade though. I found this project which uses Glade3 and C for the N800 http://code.google.com/p/webview/ |
Re: porting glade3 gui to N800
Thanks for the answer.
Does this mean that a libglade GUI should run without any tweaking? Maybe I can rework the GUI to meet the libglade functionality. best regards, Timo |
