Default Twitter client stopped working
 

Has anyone else had issues with the N9's default Twitter client no longer working? It connects and everything, but can't retrieve the feed (just shows "No Tweets").

I've done a bit of hacking and installing though. Perhaps something has broken it? Other Twitter clients work fine...

Thanks... have you installed Inception and the dual boot kernel by any chance? Or QTweak?

i have qt tweak ( only use qrefresh) and no dual.boot..twitter worka fine.

Thanks guys. I have no idea what has happened. Has anyone else ever lost Twitter functionality in the same way, and fixed it, and can relate how they did it? I don't really mind, it just irks me that a default app no longer works.

install the updated twitter from here http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=89285&page=6 there is 3 packages and use inception to install them .

Thanks! I already found them, and am struggling with incepting them. It doesn't seem to be working. I get the following error on all:

/usr/sbin/incept <packagename>.deb

sh: /root permission denied

I'm guessing I'm not using the right syntax?

UPDATE: nevermind, got it working. Well, packages incepted anyway. They aren't working yet...

Nope, still not working with the latest (950) packages. The software is trying to work, but it's not seeing my Twitter stream. The updated Facebook works fine (though I can't see any difference to be honest).

Not sure what is breaking this... I suspect some aspect of QTweak as reinstalling Twitter required removing statusmenu-widgits-ui package (or something like that) that came with the status menu hack.

However, now I'm at a total loss. I guess I live with a broken default Twitter. No big deal really.
