flash-only=kernel help needed
Hello,
Can someone please tell me if it's possible to flash kernel only after installing multiboot power kernel? It seems like it has no effect at all..after flashing kernel only, mulitiboot menu comes again. I really don't want to flash whole thing again. What to do? Thanks |
Re: flash-only=kernel help needed
you can't boot with default kernel(0 key)?

No, only nitdroid.

Re: flash-only=kernel help needed
better do a full reflash , the otherway is the .items and the images from boot

Re: flash-only=kernel help needed
We have excellent tool - rescueOS so use it:: you can chroot to maemo and install or add missing elements.

There are options like: flasher-3.5 -k (to flash kernel) flasher-3.5 -b (boot the kernel with optional cmdline)...there must be easier way to flash this kernel to default one. Quote:

Re: flash-only=kernel help needed
ok, I have access to maemo files but don't know how to remove this multiboot.

Re: flash-only=kernel help needed
I don't have multiboot but I think you should first check /etc/multiboot.d/ reinstall multiboot or ask in multiboot thread how to fix it. Then in last resort try to remove multiboot or copy preinit_backup from multiboot package to /sbin/preinit

Re: flash-only=kernel help needed
I fixed it, thanks god :) It was problem with /etc/multiboot.d/*.item entry. Somehow I managed to copy it using Nitdroid and rescueOS.
Thank you guys, you saved me a lot of time. |
