[Announce] Bigger Icons (metroui style desktop) for n9
 
Here i want to share my new theme metroui with larger svg icons for Nokia n9.

Note: to fix the red emoticons bug, just press the BI button

WARNING!

  • I tested it with homescreen settings without problems in RDA but i don't know if it could mess something there
  • I didn't tested it with some mods like N9Qtweak that modifies the grid, but i just warn you to be careful
  • For you knowledge: this theme replace "libmeegotouchhome-default.css" and "meegotouchhome.css" mainly (and restor it after uninstall)

are just the icons the only difference with this???

Nice, thanks. I not installed it, but looked into the files.
What happens if user have many different apps and for example not like to use folders. Icons of this apps will be enlarged too or not ? And if yes, I'm guessing it will leave the harmattan style rounded icons, I'm right ?

Exactly, i didn't skin 3rd party apps yet, but i will in future realease.
Not skinned apps will look larger with default icon

AFAIK .svg file support for added icon around the main icon, yes?
Symbian and Asha use this kind of icon files.
So, if you use the .svg, is there any possibilities for the icons with added notifications, e.g. if there are messages, the messaging icon will show a small notification icon, or maybe change the image with unread inbox number?

Nice,

I created some empty icons because it's easier to spot the app you want during fast scrolling if there are some spaces here and there.

Copy this into a file named empty.desktop in /home/user/.local/share/applications

heh, it looks better than the real thing :D

Just a nice remainder what the device is capable of... totally wipes floor with the wp[7|8] thingies :)

It works pretty well with HSS. I didn't use QTweak's wallpaper options, though.

Perhaps integrating a way to change colors within the provided app desktop icon? That would be cool. It looks a tad like Facebook blue, actually.

Its ok to use this with n9 qtweak?
I have some tweaks in use,wallpaper change,baground change,image on folder,etc..
