Trying to avoid flashing eMMC
 

Hello there,

I managed to almost brick my phone... The only problem remaining is that of not being able to make my Nokia Messaging send emails (google imap). Yahoo! and Ovi work...

Thus, I come here to ask you if there is a way of opening the Vanilla eMMC .bin image file and get from there the files I need.

As I read throughout TMO, there were several complains like mine and someone said that only by flashing the eMMC made his n900 send email again...

so... is there any way of opening the eMMC .bin image?:(

There is nothing wrong with your system, I have that problem too.

It seems to be problem with "Send To" format:

"Name" <email@address.com>; won't send
<email@address.com>; works without any problem

Solution:

Login at www.email.nokia.com, go to gmail account settings and delete all SMTP settings (leave it blank), Save it.

Now it works but problem is that your sent emails will not be synced with gmail.
