Issue since installing CSSU
 

Hello!

I'm new to the community, so please excuse the lack of knowledge :)

I installed CSSU and as far as I know I have the latest firmware on my N900...
Since the install I have experienced an issues with my phone: whenever I receive an incoming call, the phone doesn't ring only after vibrating a couple of times, and sometimes it doesn't ring at all...

another thing I find annoying is that when I want to select the a profile (General or Silent), I don't have the "vibrate" option to select...I can only choose from the two, and that's all...

Any idea on how to overcome these issues, or on how to rollback the CSSU installation?

I am using CSSU-testing, version 21.2011.38-1Tmaemo7.2.
Can you tell me your CSSU version? In Settings->General->About Community CSSU.
The issues do sound strange. For example, for me option "Vibrate" isn't missing from the select-profile dialog.
And when a call is incoming, I hear it ringing, even though it may be a couple of seconds late.

You can't remove CSSU, you have to reflash your device.
You are on the testing version of CSSU, but the latest version is 21.2011.38-1Tmaemo7.2. not Tmaemo6

Where are you trying to change your ringing profile?
Does a reboot fix phone ringing issue?
Do you have any additional software?
Which repositories are you using?

FWIW, I have a similar problem. At least I think it is similar. My phone sometimes rings only once, giving the impression that the caller has hung up, but when you look at the screen you see the call still ongoing. It does not happen every time and I have not figured out the pattern. I have just learned to live with it.

Does reflashing imply inserting a security code?...I have the device from a friend who forgot the code...
Reboot doesn't help with the ringing issue...
How can I install a stable version?
I'm trying to change my profile from the utility bar (?) near the clock...I noticed I have two "Profile" menus...one with the "Vibration" option and one which has only the "Silent" preset...I've deleted a "General" preset from the "Tweakr" section in Settings. How can I get rid o the second "Profiles" section?

I have installed a couple of additional apps installed.
The repositories are: community, community-testing, cssu community-thumb, fremantle ssu apps, fremantle ssu mr0, extras, extras-devel

LE: I've re-booted my device and the "Profiles" section with the "vibrate" option is missing again...

You are best to find out the lock code and reflash.
I suspect Tweakr or some other application is being displayed instead of the default one.
Also you have the incorrect repositories for your system. Plus you shouldn't use extras-devel for general updates as software there is mostly unstable.

To crack the lock code this can be used.

This will clean your device and make it faster, by removing old unstable software, applications and user data.

Hi Guys
am completely in a mess here as my N900 strange freezing behaviour is getting worst. It is occouring after installing CSSU, and I have re-flashed several times without any form of improvement. When not on CSSU, it works fine. But after installing CSSU, everything keep freezing - the screen, applications, browsers especially microB etc. I cant use it without CSSU since the email wont be working. Can someone pls help me?

Which CSSU? stable or testing (or thumb)?

After reflash, is CSSU the first thing to install? Do you restore your applications using backup, or you install them manually?
