Re: Sudo gainroot password
Open Application Manager, enable the extras repository, wait until the package list cache is updated, or if the repo is enabled, just update the list. Then install rootsh package.
Or grab it from the repo server directly with the browser at http://repository.maemo.org/extras/p...sh_1.8_all.deb , save the file and tap it in the File Manager. ApplicationManager will take over and installs the package. |
Re: Sudo gainroot password
rootsh is installable through Hildon Application Manager. You will need it in any circumstance where you need root access to your device.
rootsh will ask for a sudo password, though, so on top of rootsh you can either install sudser, to be found here http://maemo.org/packages/view/sudser/ Or you can manually edit the sudo requirements in /etc/sudoers.d/01sudo and add sudo as a passwordless command. |
