I'd be very surprised if OperaKit appears on the N9. Even to get Opera 12.x we had to wait for ohrn to get some free time and recompile the MeeGo version. If there's no MeeGo version of OperaKit (or rather, OperaBlink) - and why should there be, MeeGo was nothing but disappointment for Opera - it's ten times harder.

I think he mentioned 12.1 was the final update from him

I don't think this is good version of opera jet, it still better the opera mobile on android, otw this version has little bit better look!
BoatBrowser on android is fastest and best. :)
