g711 codec
Hi buddys, I need your help,
I have problems with my SIP and I have just talked with my mobile operator and they asked me to change my codec to g711 but I am not sure how to do it. This is copy of my gstcodecs.conf file. Can you tell me what and how I can do it File: gstcodecs.conf [audio/G729] clock-rate=8000 [audio/iLBC] mode=30 clock-rate=8000 [audio/PCMA] clock-rate=8000 [audio/PCMU] clock-rate=8000 [audio/speex] clock-rate=8000 # Disable because the current codec is broken [audio/AMR] id=-1 clock-rate=8000 [audio/GSM] clock-rate=8000 [video/THEORA] id=-1 # Not good for voip [audio/VORBIS] id=-1 [audio/MPA] id=-1 [audio/MPV] id=-1 #Disable DV, its 90000 [audio/DV] id=-1 # 16000Hz not supported [audio/AMR-WB] id=-1 [video/H264] farsight-recv-profile=rtph264depay ! dspvdec [video/H263] [video/H263-1998] # Payloader is broken, see gnome bug #577784 [video/H263-2000] id=-1 [video/JPEG] id=-1 #Disable DV.. wtf [video/DV] id=-1 |
Re: g711 codec
Why would your ISP want you to swap to g711? If the other party is only offering g711, g711 is what will be used.

Re: g711 codec
vi I have no idea, I was talking with them on the phone and they sad this. Everything with my SIP was okay until 5 day ago and they sad that they have changed something and I have to use some android application Bria that uses g711 codec or I have to use this codec. So do you mean that if the other party needs g711 n900 automatically will use this codec to accomplish this task and I don't have to change something or force it to do so? explain me please :)
