[PROBLEM] N900 screen dead. Keypad working.
 

About a week ago the screen of my 3 yr old n900 just blacked out. I restarted and found the keypad lights on.

I couldnt connect to tv coz i kept i dont have the cord as of now. I went to Nokia Care a couple of days back thinking that it may be just a ribbon problem because the screen is totally blank and it did not fall on the day the problem started. Yesterday they called me and informed that the problem may be in the screen unit and it needs to be changed. The no of days it may take is not guaranteed. I am in withdrawal now. N900 has been with me since 2010 and now I m short of options. I hate samsung and dont like android. Apple is a prison for me so here I m clueless on what to do?

Should I try for a repair which may cost about $100?

Should I buy a new phone? Htc is an option for me.

New LCD for n900 cost less than $30..with tools. You can do it yourself.

Can u tell from where? I wud definitely do it.

I m from India and the cost is around Rs 5000.

Asansol pe rahaland me mil jayega firebrigade ke opposite ek lcd store hai . Ya bagal wale dukano pe mil jayega .bariya quality ka sayead 1600 parega .

Kolkata pe bi mil jayega
and karnataka ka pata nai as udar kabi gaya nai par sayed udar bi available ho ??
