Sandby Mode on a N800
Greetings:
How does one put a N800 on Standby mode? I know that I can lock the keys and screen. But I can't seem to unlock it. The screen gives me instructions on how to unlock, and I tried to press the buttons but it doesn't work. So how do we place an N800 on standby mode? Regards Robert |
Re: Sandby Mode on a N800
To unlock it, press the power button, then release the power button, then press the middle-joystick button, then release the middle-joystick button.
I usually prefer to enable "Soft poweroff" mode by editing /etc/systemui/systemui.xml, and uncommenting the relevant lines. I also tend to move that item to the top by adjusting its priority. When I let my N800 torrent, I put it in "Soft poweroff" mode, which really just means it doesn't accept any keypresses or screen taps, and the screen is turned off; the CPU isn't halted, the network card remains turned on, etc. |
