Command line for Images app
Hey guys.
I would like to write a very small script, when executed, will open up a selected image, full screen, and then launch Xmms to run on top of this. Could I get some help just on how to load up a full screen image by command line? Cheers. |
Re: Command line for Images app
"xdg-open /path/to/image" does the job on n900/n9 not sure if it works the same way on the n800.

Re: Command line for Images app
xdg-open /media/mmc1/desktop.png
-bash: xdg-open: command not found It's not in /usr/bin/ Could xdg-open be somewhere else? |
Re: Command line for Images app
On N9 it is in /usr/bin..
Package xdg-utils |
Re: Command line for Images app
Mine goes from xbindkeys to xkbcomp to xml2gbs.

Re: Command line for Images app
Install Diablo's xdg-utils. It should include xdg-open, according to the description.
Best wishes. |
Re: Command line for Images app
Thank you Wikiwide.
I'll definitely look into this. Thanks for the great find. :) |
Re: Command line for Images app
So I gave it a try.....
xdg-open /media/mmc1/desktop.png /usr/bin/xdg-open: line 412: xprop: not found /usr/bin/xdg-open: line 438: sensible-browser: not found It wouldn't install from the app manager but dpkg -i gave no complaints. On that Maemo site, I didn't notice any dependencies for this so I'm not sure what might be wrong. |
Re: Command line for Images app
install xprop and sensible browser?
|
Re: Command line for Images app
Hmmm....
Nothing was found for "sensible-browser" in the database. And xprop (v. 1:1.0.2-0ubuntu1) was only found in http://austinche.name/maemo for Bora. Source: http://www.gronmayer.com/it/index.php |
