Cant read MMC without original back cover?
 

From e bay i bought cheap replacment mask for my n900... and it looks great... but it turns out that while i use that replacment cback cover i cant read my MMC??? soon as i put old one.. its all go!

i tried looking to see what is the difference, but i was unable to spot one... help?

glue the magnet from the old mask to the new one

There is a small magnet in the original back cover right beneath the camera slider. You could spot it behind the little stand.

There are some threads in the forum, some are with pictures. Just search for 'magnet' via 'Advanced Search'.
