Re: extended camera lens
Please see the brainstorming debate about the same lens, for Jolla: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...38#post1380538 and other comments nearby. Because Jolla phone is supposed to run also Android applications, the Sony add-on camera might work as an ideal accessory for those future Jolla users who insist on upgrading it with another camera.
N900 is of course a bit different case. If the add-on camera works well on Jolla, perhaps the easiest way to upgrade to "high-end camera on smartphone" is to upgrade first the phone to Jolla. Or what do you think? |
Re: extended camera lens
Looks like the lens has a webserver connected via wifi, likely HTML5 or Flash based. Seems that unless obfuscated or encrypted to minimize usable platforms any n-series phone could use it. Might be fun to mount the cam on a paintball gun and use it to shoot around corners.
